Summary

Reporting directly to the Team Lead, this role will be responsible for ensuring the customer freight is picked up and delivered at the accurate location within the time frame assigned. The Logistic Specialist is responsible for providing effective customer service to Kam-Way’s customers by using excellent, detailed reporting of the load in transit.

  • Hourly Position #1 - Logistics Specialist (Customer Service focus) Days: Monday – Friday Hours: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Hourly Position #2- Logistics Specialist (Dispatch focus) Days: Monday – Friday Hours: 6:00 am – 3:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Possess the ability to navigate and is fully efficient in Kam-Way’s operating system- TMW 
  • Ability to work very closely with Carrier Sales and Account Executive to ensure on time delivery. 
  • Ability to input loads from scratch and determine necessary changes for service requests. 
  • Book pickup and delivery appointments as per Customer Requirements. 
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times. Contact, track and record progress on freight being moved, and accurately check calls in TMW 
  • Contact assigned customers and give daily updates on freight being moved. 
  • Responsible for requesting dentations/ layovers from the customer when needed
  • Provide specific monthly reports to Team Lead regarding detentions, layovers, rejections and claims 
  • Have the knowledge, or ability to learn how, to process customs border paperwork for the team and Prioritize loads that require PAPS, PARS, ACI, & ACE
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Education and Work Experience

  • Strong customer service skills; ability to diffuse client frustrations.

SUMMARY:

Managing assigned company drivers and owner operators reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager, this role is responsible for directing drivers. Including Following processes and inputting data into TMW with accurate information, and completing driver pay records for weekly payroll.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage driver’s pickup and delivery schedules to customers or vendors.
  • Dispatch drivers for shipment pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Monitor driver's schedules, keep track of substitute drivers, and assign them to routes when they are needed.
  • Track and manage drivers, as well as keep in touch with drivers who are on the road.
  • Interacts with the driver to address any concerns or route changes
  • Hold drivers accountable for their assignments and meeting company standards through documentation and discipline via performance improvement plans to include up to the extent of termination of employment.
  • Complete computer work to ensure drivers are paid accurately and timely.
  • Complete any disciplinary actions with drivers to ensure company policies are being followed. (advise Operations Manager if any disciplinary action is needed and provide documentation of issues)

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree
  • Thorough knowledge of fleet management and logistics, 3 years minimum experience

    SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for managing the corporate accounts of various customers.  Review the billing for accuracy, closing of the loads by inputting the data into the systems accurately and updating customer’s spreadsheet for billing before the accounting cycle.  Managing and directing the Driver Yard Hostlers, responsible for the scheduling and assigning of loads and oversee the loads for successful completion. 

    • Days: Sunday – Thursday (Nights/Weekends on call)
    • Hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Navigate and become fully efficient in Kam-way’s operating system- TMW
    • Input loads from the beginning to load completion
    • Close out loads and support A/R in securing necessary documents to invoice.
    • Contact the necessary customer / contact to update on rail containers.
    • Reaching out to necessary vendors to schedule loading appointments.
    • Facilitate the needs customer to ensure there are empty trailers available for storage.
    • Readily available on call to all customers’ needs as this role is responsible for responding to customer service issues and resolving matters in a timely manner.
    • Ensure we are providing excellent customer service by replying quickly (target time within 20 minute window) to your assigned customers
    • Review all loads and ensure they are able to deliver on time service
    • Develop document, with leadership, policies and procedures for the accounts in your responsibility.
    • Process customs border paper work for the team
    • Transition all after hours items to evening and weekend dispatch
    • Audit driver pay on a weekly basis to assist payroll in ensuring drivers are paid out accurately
    • Other duties as assigned by leader to meet business needs
    • Directing, assigning Driver Yard Hostlers managing the team of drivers ensuring they are carrying out expectations and holding accountability. The ability to positively coach and build the team successes as well document progressive performance discipline with team members as needed
    • Remain in frequent communication with clients to ensure their needs are being met (this may require some afterhours / weekend attention to work email & phone calls)

    • Under Graduate in Business or Management experience preferred
    • Dispatching and Customer Service experience.

    Kam-way Transportation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager

    The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of truck fleet maintenance management experience, truck and trailer maintenance and managing maintenance operations with a large commercial fleet. Strong knowledge and experience with AS400 maintenance management software required. Hands on experience maintaining equipment and solid PM programs. This position will oversee 75-100 trucks and trailers, including the maintenance shop and tank wash.

    Summary:

    Has a firm working knowledge of truck repair and maintenance. This position requires experienced skills, including developing and implementing service and maintenance programs for all truck drivers and truck mechanics to follow ensuring that trucks and trailers don’t need to be taken out of service during the busiest times of the trucking season. This position also responsible for tracking annual budget for the maintenance department, managing parts control, shop floor personnel and all time schedules for service and maintenance.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Complete maintenance overview
    • Coordinate maintenance of equipment of driver schedule with Dispatch Team
    • Check for tractors getting scheduled for service on timely manner
    • Check for tractor / trailers getting scheduled for annual inspection on time and are up to date
    • Order Parts as needed for the shop
    • Maintain and assign the weekly schedule for the employees
    • Review employees time cards and approve accordingly for Mechanics & Maintenance
    • Complete Maintenance of Truck and Trailers and approval on the invoices that require payment.
    • Maintain Parts Inventory /log up to date and enter them in AMS
    • Work with the various team members to ensure and maintain the maintenance system.
    • Work on FMSCA reviews and audits pertaining to Maintenance
    • E Log compliance- ensuring all the trucks are setup with E Logs
    • Work order periodization planning and on when to use an outside vendor
    • Measuring work order completions status based on time spent
    • Your team development, holding accountability to their deliverables, responsible for their performance management and constructive coaching as needed, expectations exchange, positive encouragement. Direct feedback
    • Breakdown process, training, talking to service writers
    • Maintenance pre-trip inspections, damage reporting, payroll, paperwork and POD requirements.
    • Truck related knowledge information, Regen, TripPak, fuel locations, Load securement, reefer use, DEF system, automatic transmission
    • Driver Incoming call for issues and concerns- in regards to truck break down, trailer repairs, log book issues.
    • Work with team to create policies and procedures as needed

    Education and Experience:

    • Preferred a minimum of Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of combine work experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of fleet management and logistics.
