The Director of Corporate Sales and Customer Experience is responsible for leading Customer Sales, Customer Onboarding, Customer Relations, Customer Service, Carrier Operations & Relations, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goal setting, and Policy and Process Deployment. Accountable for customer onboarding, rate negotiations, and overall sales and business performance management. 

  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead and enhance processes across the company, working with the Customer Service Manager, Carrier Team Supervisor, and Afterhours Supervisor to improve efficiency, cost savings, and revenue development.

- Partner with the Director of Operations to broaden the company's scope by ensuring fleet and brokerage customers are effectively managed.

- Manage critical metrics and KPIs associated with the company P&L, including gross revenue, gross margin %, operating income %, and loads per head per day.

- Launch CRM and develop a comprehensive roadmap spanning from 3 months to 60 months, aligning with the company's strategic goals.

- Implement operational changes as agreed upon by executive management, establishing measurable metrics with goals and timelines.

- Support the Internal Sales Team by ensuring effective lead management, regular communication, and improved customer relations to drive growth. Conduct weekly/monthly reviews of the scorecard.

- Develop a sales structure and train staff to identify business opportunities, maintain relationships, and review the sales pipeline weekly.

- Collaborate with the customer sales staff to sell various services, such as refrigerated reefer, flatbed, LTL, and international, including Canada when required.

- Coordinate with executives to expand the company's scope through fleet and brokerage customer management.

- Monitor industry trends and customer expectations, enhancing team training by reviewing new processes and procedures.

- Cultivate and manage executive-level relationships with strategic customer and carrier partners.

- Preserve and expand the customer base, leveraging dormant customers and spot market opportunities to create a new sales pipeline.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring they meet expectations and demonstrate accountability. Document progressive performance discipline when necessary and provide coaching for success.

- Collaborate with the executive team to support the execution of the Employee Incentive Compensation Plan (EICP) and ensure its alignment with business objectives.

- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree or at least five years of combined work experience.

- Thorough knowledge of fleet management and logistics.

- Experience in budget development and oversight.

- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards, as well as fostering a diverse workplace.

- Excels in operating within a fast-paced community environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Work is generally sedentary in a general office environment but may require standing and walking up to 15% of the time. Standard office equipment is available.

Produce Supply Express, a subsidiary of Kam-Way Transportation, is hiring a detail oriented individual to join their accounting team. This is a dynamic role that requires someone capable of multitasking, customer relations and time management. The role will be focused on accurately processing POD’s, billing Customers and paying Carriers. This position is based in our office in Spokane, WA. This is NOT a remote position.


What your day looks like:

  • Process invoices related to accounts payable.
  • Process Proof of delivery in preparation for invoicing.
  • Apply deposits, reconcile bank statements.
  • Audits and processes driver trip packet verifying expenses for drivers in preparation for driver payroll.
  • Maintain and audit vehicle maintenance records monthly.
  • Reconcile and audit fuel /EFS/advance reporting.
  • Month end closing accounting procedures in relation to PR/AP/AR/GL.
  • Process quarterly reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

More about you:

  • Minimum High Scholl diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Customer Service experience in a similar capacity is preferred
  • 2-3 years of work experience in accounting is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook is strongly encouraged

The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accurate and timely month-end reporting and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or a General Education Degree required
  • College level accounting studies from a four-year accredited college/university
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum 2 years general ledger experience. Skilled in general accounting, analysis, account reconciliation and month-end closing & financial reporting
  • Minimum of 2 years related accounting experience and/or training
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter would be a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Journal entries and general month-end accounting duties including accruals for multiple related companies
  • Detailed bank and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide cost reports to management to improve business operations
  • Examine costs incurred in relation to activities conducted to determine effective use of resources
  • Assist Controller with Audit requests including preparing audit schedules
  • Maintain debt and depreciation schedules
  • Prepare and distribute recurring reports
  • Prepare state and federal tax compliance reports (sales tax, fuel tax, L&I, etc.)
  • Review payroll (processed by third parties) for accuracy and post to the general ledger
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned


WORKING CONDITIONS/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primarily general office-based environment with approximately 10% in the shop or yard. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking up to 15% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
