We are seeking a Corporate Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee all non-carrier accounts payable procedures, resolve higher-level queries and requests from trade groups. Must be capable of multitasking, customer relations and time management.


This position is located at our corporate office in Blaine, WA (appx 100 miles north of Seattle). This is NOT a remote position.

Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Schedule is M-F


What You’ll Do:

  • Maintenance of all non-carrier accounts payable records; ensures accuracy and timeliness.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company and vendors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a diplomatic and efficient manner.
  • Prepare checks and/ or electronic-fund payments efficiently.
  • Contact key vendors to request updated statements of account and reconcile to AP system.
  • Carry out established rules and policies to ensure consistency in standard, and to protect company interests.
  • Process accounts payable invoices on a daily basis using Great Plains.
  • Perform combination of routine calculations, posting and verifying duties to maintain record in accuracy by using journals and ledgers or computer.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
  • Filing of accounts payable documents for safe keeping, and code documents for files according to company procedures.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential internally and externally.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Maintain insurance policies ledger and record accurate insurance expense.
  • Update debt schedule with loan payments.
  • Collect credit card receipts, and process and pay credit card statement.
  • Compliance reporting.

More About You:

  • Three or more years of accounts payable experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management.
  • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Microsoft Office and experience in the use of Outlook, Word and Excel is a definite asset.
  • Great Plains experience is preferred
