Training:
We look for positive individuals who want to be part of a collaborative hard-working team. It’s our job to get you familiar with the latest trucking software, and technology with our training program, as you work alongside with your manager and peers.

This position is located at Produce Supply Express (a Kam-Way Transportation Company) in Spokane, WA.

What You'll Do:
· Perform annual inspections on all tractors and trailers

· Perform daily yard check and daily shop check in a systematic manner

· Create work orders for every maintenance job

· Inventory spare parts and keep records up to date

· Document all maintenance done on work orders and update TMT timely & correctly

· Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units

· Perform all levels of preventative maintenance services on trucks such as: checking batteries, lubricating equipment and machinery· Lube and repair trailer equipment

· Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order

· Maintain work area cleanliness, appearance and safety precautions

· Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment

· Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.

· Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications

· Excellent communication skills both written and oral communications

· Prioritize and handle multiple projects while being punctual

· Interact professionally with internal and external customs on all levels

· Inform supervisor with current up-to-date information on repair status and possible delays

More About You:
· Posses a mechanical aptitude with the willingness to learn and take direction from Management.

· Ability to accurately document repair procedures

· Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

· Must be able make concerted effort to work as a team member in a diverse workplace

· Demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards

· Minimum 1-year experience with tractor and trailer maintenance

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· Diesel Engine Technology/Vocational certification preferred

· Freightliner Cascadia Expert Certification preferred, not required

· Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred

· A valid driver’s license is required

· Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems, Microsoft Suite familiarity

· Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations required

We are seeking a Shop Foreman for our office in Fontana, California! In this role, you will hire and train employees ensuring equipment is being inspected, repaired, and all maintenance is completed on tractors and trailers in compliance with the DOT/FMCSA Standards. You will supervise all mechanics on staff to make sure repairs are done correctly, safely, and in a timely manner. You will be responsible to take after hours maintenance/breakdown calls, decide and complete best action for repair. And you will manage parts ordering and inventory.

Shift Expectations are: M-F 7:00AM-3:30 PM, Nights and Weekends on call as needed

Location: This position is with Sun Express (a Kam-Way Company) in Fontana, CA

What You'll Do:


· Performs safety check on all repairs done in shop by mechanics to confirm completeness· Provides guidance and direction to all mechanics on staff· Direct and manage team accordingly, ensuring work is being completed timely and accurate· Provides training to mechanics when needed· Perform physical inspections of equipment in yard· Perform repairs as needed on tractors and trailers· Routinely inspect all shop equipment and work area to maintain a safe environment for employees· Maintain Accurate Records on all company owned equipment and updating the transportation management software as necessary · Document all maintenance done with work orders· Assist Maintenance Manager to implement shop procedures and policies through positive example and instruction to others· Manage part inventory and purchasing as needed while under supervision of Maintenance Manager· Communicate with drivers on repairs needed· Communicate with senior management on equipment repairs· Ensure team of mechanics is utilizing time correctly and efficiently· Carries out supervisory duties as team lead, including performance appraisals, coaching and disciplinary actions · Takes after hour emergency calls and makes decision on best course of action for repair· Other duties as assigned

More About You:


· Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of diesel mechanics. · Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and State DOT Regulations, especially the DOT's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations· Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to direct and achieve priorities, goals, and strategies · Minimum 3 years of Supervisory skills and abilities· Perform Annual Inspections on equipment· Perform maintenance on CMV and trailers· Knowledge of work orders and inventory management experience.· Documentation skills· Preferred Knowledge of TMT, Peoplenet, Thermo king Software and Sperion.
